SERVICES
While the Multicultural Council offers a large number of services, its major activities can be classified into 3 areas, as well as other programs to help our multicultural, multilingual and multi-racial community
Cultural Programs
Festival of Nations ( A day of festivities, dance, music, food, costumes from around the world) to be celebrated during the long weekend October 6-8, 2007 (Columbus Day)
Celebrate Special Days of each nation i.e. Independence Day, etc. A list of such special holidays is being made by MCC.
Cultural Exchange - national and international.
Educational Programs
Cultural Seminars to be taught at schools, community centers, etc. to make citizens aware of world cultures
Basic Educational Program for children and adults to promote literacy
English as a Second Language training for all new immigrants
Foreign Language training e.g. Spanish, French, etc.
Educational Exchange of students, teachers, professionals including senior citizens, women & youth.
Healthcare Programs
CALL-THE-DOCTOR tele-medicine program for all citizens at an affordable cost, enabling every citizen to reach out to a medical doctor or doctor of homeopathy, natural medicine or to practitioners of complementary, holistic or alternative therapies.
A Medical Call Center has already been set-up, offering
Call-The-Doctor program at US$10 per person, per month.

Free or Low-Cost Health Clinics to be set up in areas where there is need, within USA and Around the World, staffed by volunteers, doctors, nurses and other professionals.
Fundacion Dominicana Multicultural, affiliated with MCC has already set up a charitable private hospital in the Caribbean country of Dominican Republic, which is also offering Medical Treatments and Surgeries at less than half-the-cost to anyone who need the service. A world-wide network of Doctors, many of who speak foreign languages, is being set up to help the community. These doctors have agreed to offer special discounts.

Health Magazine with news, information and articles about health with greater emphasis for research and info concerning multicultural and multi-racial population.
Community Support Program. The Multicultural Council (MCC) offers you an opportunity to help a particular project, a particular cause or a particular country, as long as it is legal, ethical and do-able. Under this program you can select to support a child, a family, a school or a clinic, etc. in any particular area. Call or write to MCC with your special concern and we can help plan it for you.
